A name synonymous with Porsches since 1987, when they showcased their 911-based CTR which wiped the floor with a host of ultra high-performance cars at Ehra-Lessien (including luminaries such as the Ferrari F40, a Lamborghini Countach 5000S and the AMG Hammer).Nicknamed the Yellow Bird, this slim-hipped, unassuming (save for the eye-popping paintjob) automotive wonder, hit a top speed of 211 MPH (just shy of 340 KMH)...more than 10 MPH (or 16 MPH) ahead of the next fastest car.

dood, very different era lah...that was 1987 leh...nowadays, even the latest iteration of AMG can top 211mph...if unregulated...
obviously you didn't read the article...hehehe...
the latest CTR3 introduced 2007, pushes out 691hp and tops out at 235 mph / 378 kmh...but it's wayyyy cheaper than the veyron...
