...and left standing tall is the first ever woman winner of the Best Director award, Katheryn Bigelow who beats former hubby James Cameron to the award...and to rub more salt in, her movie THE HURT LOCKER pipped his AVATAR to the Best Film award too!

i however am happy that Sandra Bullock won her Best Actress award on the back of that inspirational movie THE BLIND SIDE...hurray for her...
