A pet shop worker has set a new world record after stuffing 16 Madagascar hissing cockroaches - each more than 6cm long - into his mouth.
Sean Murphy, of Lansing, Michigan, US, shattered the old Guinness World Records score of 11 to secure the new mark. He initially thought he'd only be able to fit 12 and admitted the final result was a "big surprise" since he's never fit that many in before "in one try".
Murphy's effort would need to be certified by Guinness for it to be official. He now wants to push for 20 next year.
Koi Carp which have the right colouration can sell for tens of thousands of pounds and aquarium owner Ding Feng said making sure the fish grew rapidly so that they could be sold for more money was very important.
Feng, 47, who owns the Hanzhou Aquarium in Hangzhou, in eastern China's Zhejiang province, said: "All my colleagues are doing it. I started to test feed the carps with milk three months ago. I visited a carp farm, and found they fed the fish with powdered milk from a bottle, and the carp were strong and active. It took my fish a little while to get used to it but now they love the new feed. As soon as they see me coming over with the bottle they fight to be the ones to suck on the teet. I don't use regular food anymore - I just give them milk."

'Whatever attacked and took chunks out of this big shark must be massive,' said 19-year-old surfer Ashton Smith. 'I've heard about the big one that's lurking out there somewhere. We're all being very, very cautious.'
