=================================

Hand built at the Pagani Atelier in a limited run of 25, the Roadster F offers the outstanding driveability and performance of the F Coupè, enhanced by the pleasure of driving with a gentle breeze in your hair.

Thanks to an original roof made out of carbon fibre and cloth (removable in a few seconds) and due to the use of carbon fabrics for the construction of the central chassis, bodywork and interior, it was possible to maintain the dry weight of 1230kg, which translates in a weight/power ratio of 1,89kg/hp for the Clubsport version.

Now think about this; a light and rigid vehicle body, pushed by the mighty 7.3 Litre Mercedes-AMG V12, with a power of 650hp and a torque of 780Nm. The 0 – 200kph time takes just 9.8 seconds and a few instants later you exceed the 300kph mark... all topless.

The Roadster F travels along the boundary where beauty and power merge together forming something special; it’s sinuous and aerodynamically shaped bodywork gets its prominence from sharp edges and elegant lines, which show at first glance its extraordinary potential.

From the cockpit you enjoy a magnificent view, unusual for a supercar. With your hands on the steering wheel you enjoy an environment that far exceeds most expectations, with a mixture of carbon fibre, soft leather and polished aluminium lighting up your senses. The precious instrument cluster looks like the handiwork of a watchmaker. It reveals the pure-breed of an Italian GT car: thanks to its personality, mixing sensuality, aggressiveness and magnetic beauty, you can easily imagine it driving along the sea front in Monte Carlo or screaming down a straight at Le Mans. All this, supported by handling that is unbelievably efficient and sincere and that monitors constantly what is happening to every single wheel; creating the feeling of the power behind you and the precise response in front.

The Roadster F is not a racecar; it is rather a jewel handcrafted in Italy, a whirl of emotions, a masterpiece for the connoisseur who cares to drive fast. Very fast. Like the heart beating within its soul.

RENDEZVOUS - A CLASSIC CAR VID

you have to see it for yourself...what a smokin' drive!

On an August morning in 1978, legendary French director Claude Lelouch ("A Man and a Woman") mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur.

No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH (225 Km/h) in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets. Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until the DVD was released a few years ago as "Rendezvous."

and here is the link...about 25mb, hence pretty much only broadband friendly...there is an option to download instead of waiting on the streaming video...

~ fragilidad ~

salsalita concon would be able to tell you that the translation from espanyol to english is FRAGILE...

after lunch today, i realise that for a relationship to work, it's hard WORK...it really is a matter of 2 people not taking each other for granted and commiting to the relationship...no 2 ways about it...commonality, companionship, friendship all matter but above all, emotional ties (ok ok, so it's LURRRRVVVE haha) are crucial...

love might not be a nicely-defined 50/50 thing...one can give more than one's partner but it takes commitment on BOTH parts...2 hands to clap, 2 to tango...

things can go awry all so easily...sigh...

i am reminded not to take the missus for granted...and i sure am not going to... :)

dear friend, i hope all goes well...will be here for you if you need a listening ear to bitch into...

The Dunk that went THUNK!!!

i saw it and i still can't believe it!!!

the shortest player in the NBA rookies slam dunk contest was NATE ROBINSON...all of 1.79m of him...and yet he soared high over hall-of-famer SPUD WEBB and grandslammed the ball home...simply astonishing...what an eye-opener/jaw-dropper at this year's NBA ALL STAR weekend!!!!!

as described on NBA.com, "The 5-9 Robinson, a point guard for the Knicks...Webb's uniform that came out of hiding, and Spud was the one wearing it...The 5-7 Webb got up from his courtside seat, stood under the basket and bounced the ball in front of him as Robinson made an approach. The former University of Washington guard hurdled Webb, caught the ball at and jammed it into the goal."

doesn't sound like much, right? see the pix below and marvel at his elevation...he had to hurdle a 5 foot 7 fella without splattering said fella's face all over the place and yet keep his concentration to stuff the ball in...mother!

and here's the video of the dunk...please be patient...it's about 25mb and slightly over 2 minutes long...just left click HERE and watch...enjoy ;)

...and the latest scandal to hit is...

...the case of the polytechnic girl's home video on her mobile phone...seems her phone got pinched by another girl who was her enemy...and on the mobile phone was a vid of her and the BF getting jiggy with it...all of almost 6 MB and 10 mins...full on and hard-core...

obviously, the vid made its way onto the net, almost definitely due to her enemy....so now she and the BF are stars of their very own porn vid...

hearsay she and the BF are now suspended..just hearsay though...how about the other girl who put it up online? should she be punished too? invasion of privacy and all that??

points to note

  1. stupid girl...why have these sorts of things on your mobile phone? are you that secure in the fact that you won't lose it? things can happen, you silly little thing!
  2. stupid girl...there is such a thing called safe sex! no glove, no love...
  3. what happens in private between her and the BF should be kept P&C...the girl that "published" the vid should be punished for her maliciousness, for pinching the mobile phone and for violating other people's privacy

serious case of stupidity all round... *rolleyes*

WTF!!!

really frustrated dealing with my client now!!!!! ARRRGGGHHH!!!!

here's the thing, you moron without any shipping knowledge:-

  1. your fricking cargo is bare metal...no bloody dunnages or wooden blocks to hold one the ones which are unbalanced...you did not specify same when you asked for the quotation initially!!!
  2. we were planning loading into an enclosed container box...we can't do that now that it is bare metal contact...we can't jolly well shove it in...if the cargo is damaged and the container floorboard too, who's gonna pay for it???
  3. i suggest constructing wooden skids for another small sum of money...it's to safeguard your cargo and to make it easier to move into the container...but, no.......you dun wan to pay the money...then how to load????
  4. we could of course load using an open top container where we can lift your stupid cargo into the container...but the ocean freight is higher...and would cost more than the money needed for the wooden skids....so how? you gonna pay???
  5. how can i ship something when i know that the chances of it reaching singapore safely without damage is not good...why would i put myself in this position??? fun ah????
  6. if you are so insistent on shipping bare and you claim that there should be no problem....issue me a written indemnification lah...that i will not be held responsible for any damages to the cargo and that if there is any damage to the container floorboard, you will pay for same...then i ship your stupid compressors!!!

this cannot that cannot...take your stupid compressors and shove it up your asshole lah! KNNBCCB! GRRRRRRRRR!

Conundrum Solved...

...feel sooooo much happier and relieved ;)

now to order my new brakes and change my tyres...PHEW =)

ah, valentine's day....

yes, deep down you know it's "manufactured" but you still can't resist the siren call of this day...the one day that love is celebrated by one and all...

i think of my darling wife and one song just comes to fore :) love you, XKATS!!! *MUACKZ*

THAT'S ALL (left click to hear) - original rendition by NAT KING COLE, redone recently by MICHAEL BUBLE

I can only give you love that lasts forever
And a promise to be near each time you call,
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone,
That's all, that's all.

I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall,
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter night,
That's all, that's all.

There are those, I am sure, that have told you
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you
And a love time can never destroy.

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore
For now and ever more,
That's all, that's all.

~interlude~

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore
For now and ever more,
That's all...that's all.

here's the full menu found at HK cafe

food review - the first CCT experience...

...for me...CCT being cha chan tang (in cantonese)...the hongkong style eatery to be more precise...

met up with peaches and cream last evening for dinner and decision was made to go to the HONGKONG CAFE for dinner...

378/380 East Coast Road
Singapore 428985

an eye opener for sure...the food was excellent...i had the baked rice with seafood, the missus had the shanghai pork and chicken chop rice topped off with egg, peaches had the soup stewed beef brisket noodles and cream had a black pepper chicken chop rice...my food was accompanied by a mug of thick nai cha (milk tea, in cantonese) and the missus finished off with a golden fantasy (mango puree with mango ice cream dressed with pomelo pips)...

baked seafood rice

shanghai pork & chicken chop rice

black pepper chicken chop rice

golden fantasy

french toast

milk tea

good food but overall, a little bit pricy (pretty much crystal jade prices)....i'd come again, but for tea next time....get a load of the fat slabs of french toast!!! WOOT!!! *drool*

7 outta 10 for moi :) recommended...

i dream of a...

SET SS...old or new, doesn't matter....to me, the old looks more refined and classy whereas the new looks a bit more girly...oddly enuff, it's the opposite to a lot of other people...i'm just weird, i guess...

well, time will tell... *fingers crossed*

riceboys hall of fame (read shame) - part 1

cripes, i mean....what the heck would one bother...especially with a crappy car like a nissan sunny no less...geez...

i spy a GT wing, an EVO-wannabe fibreglass bonnet, a cheapo PU bodykit, smoked lenses and lotsa stickers....

my comments to the driver...

1. a front wheel drive car like the sunny requires the bulk of the grip for the front wheels for steering and grip...to have the GT wing at the back would increase the downforce on the rear and actually decrease the downforce (and correspondingly, the grip) in front...it's useless, you shithead!

2. the evo bonnet with the vents is there to ventilate heat built-up by the turbo...your crappy ass car does not have a turbo cos i heard it when you started it up...so why the heck do you need it? wanna sprinkle your engine with rainwater ah?

3. cheapo PU bodykit...you must have had it made in malaysia...judging from the poor fit of the material...hit a kerb and it'll crack big time...for what? add weight to a car which by itself already has crappy fuel consumption (well-known fact) and looks like utter bullcrap *rolleyes*

4. stickers...wah you must have spent a lot on the stickers, dipshit...do you even have a quarter of the stuff that you stick up??? like you have recaro seats...no! you might just have a momo steering wheel...that's easy enuff. have you got a tein suspension....i seriously doubt it. do you have brembo brakes....definitely not (i checked). denso sparkplugs...yes, perhaps. 5 zigen and OZ rims...nope, cos your rims are cheapo and el uggo taiwanese designs. cusco suspension material...no way jose cos they dun do for cheapo cars like yours. apexi stuff...maybe an apexi filter is all you can aspire to. do you think your stickers would give you as much as half a brakehorsepower??? DUH!

BAH HUMBUG!!! WAKE UP YOU LOSER!!!!
