woke up to the news that another american tragedy has happened...

shoppers at a nebraskan shopping mall were terrorised by a gunman who stormed through the building in a killing rampage that ended only after eight people were shot dead and with the assailant turning the gun on himself...

it's not the first time that such an occurrence has happened and yet, till now i ask the question again...WHY THE HELL IS THERE NO PROPER GUN-CONTROL LEGISLATION IN AMERICA???

i say fuck that 2nd amendment that allows citizens to bear arms...it's an antiquated concept that should be done away with, as soon as possible!

have taken the day off...

...to spend some quality time with the missus...

it's nice...
...to be able to wake up on a monday and not worry about what work will bring that day
...to not have to rush like hell to get changed and out of the house in a bare minimum of time
...to be able to luxuriate in the feel of the sheets and to drink in the scent of my darling who's still in la la land
...to be able to make a nice hot cuppa LAVAZZA double espresso complete with the requisite crema
...to have the luxury to wonder what i'd do the rest of the day for sheer enjoyment

ah.....how lovely...too bad i've got to go back to work tomorrow...sigh...

...at the hotboys kelong was as fantastic as i remembered it to be from past trips...

good location, good weather, good company and good food/drinks...and no bloody work phonecalls....just the perfect antidote for one as jaded and stressed out by work as me...

8 adults and 2 kids departed singapore on 25.11.7 at the wee hour of 6.30am...stopped halfway for some kickass bak kut teh and arrived at tanjong leman jetty around 9.15am...reach the kelong by boat around 10am...quick trip indeed...

what followed in the next 50 hours or so was loadsa relaxation in the form of fishing, mahjong, chor dai dee, drinking, eating and the ubiquitious PSP-playing...it was a great time to reaffirm old friendships, build on new ones and to just kick back and let the stresses of the world dissipate...simply lovely!
