Fire crews rescue large lady in bath
Fire crews rushed to hoist a lady out of the bath after she wedged herself in.
The 70-year-old woman, of Groomsland Drive, Billingshurst, raised the alarm when she found herself stuck around 9.30am. But when ambulance crews failed to shift her, they called for back-up.
A West Sussex fire and rescue spokesman said: "We were called out to a large lady who was stuck in her bath. She was 70-years-old and she couldn't get out, she had bad ankles and bad knees. The ambulance had had a pull and a heave so we went out and assisted the lady. We didn't use any equipment – just manpower and strength and she seemed to be ok, no problems."
