In Sweden it is a bit of a custom for the groom to be kidnapped and whisked off somewhere for his stag night, which usually lasts all day and all night rather than the typical British stag night where you all arrange it beforehand go out get drunk and hire a stripper.

The Swedes do it different.. The groom has no idea until he gets nabbed.. He might be dressed up in something crazy... and go do something funny...and then the fun starts!

This particular guy is a keen sailor and when he was kidnapped for his stag night they pasted a false "skippers-beard" on him and put him at the helm of a 60 foot yacht and let him be skipper for the day...

Much beer and fine food was consumed. But nothing... nasty happened to him at all... In the evening when they got back on land and were getting cleaned up for the night club... they all had a sauna as is customary in Sweden....

Imagine the grooms horror when he walked into the sauna where his naked buddies were waiting for him and then to notice that best mate number one had no pubic hair ...

neither did friend two ...
nor three ...
or four...

sturgeons are dangeous fish

previously i had already blogged about a jet skier being slammed off his jetski by a flying sturgeon...now here's a new report of another sturgeon "attack"...

no laughing matter...these fellas hitting you at speed would cause some serious bruising not to mention the possibility of you being knocked unconscious into the water and drowning... =S



A sturgeon injured two boaters Saturday when it leaped from the water, knocking one girl from the boat and breaking the arm of another passenger.

Cheyenne Russ, 9, and Jennifer K. Sullivan, 31, both of Lake City, Florida were taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville after the Saturday accident.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Officer Dorvan Daniel witnessed the strike. "I saw this vessel, operated by Scott Lockwood of Lake City, coming toward me at about 30 miles per hour. I watched as the fish jumped out of the water and heard the impact when it hit. The child was knocked out of the boat and into the water," Daniel said, who estimated the fish was 4 1/2-feet long.

The girl was not wearing a life jacket. Maj. Bruce Hamlin, regional commander for the FWC's North Centeral Region, said the commission is planning to post signs along the Suwannee River warning of the dangers.

"Boaters have been seriously injured when hit by these fish. This is the sixth reported sturgeon strike this summer. We want to make the public aware that these fish are in the Suwannee and they do jump. We recommend boaters reduce their speed to reduce the risk of impact."

The fish winter in the Gulf of Mexico and enter the Suwannee in the summer and fall months to spawn. They can grow to 8 feet in length and weigh up to 200 pounds.

This car was driven for 1 week before an officer noticed what the graphics company employee did on the passenger side of the car. The employee did this on his last day working for the graphics company before he retired.

Ex-con tries to break back into jail

A young Austrian convict missed prison so much after his release that he tried to break back in.

Detlef Federsohn, 23, was released from the Josefstadt prison in the Austrian capital Vienna after serving two years for theft.

But he was arrested last week when police were called out to a suspected prison break after he was spotted on the roof of the jail.

Federsohn said: "Life is so much easier on the inside. They feed you, do your washing and let you watch TV, which I can tell you is a lot more than my mum does. So I thought if I could sneak back in I would blend in with the others and the screws wouldn't notice."

ok, so i did it again...

friend of mine's an SQ pilot and a crazed miata owner...his pearl blue NA has been turb'd up to the max and now boasts 247hp @ the wheels...it's fully custom kitted and looks the dog's bollocks...

last week he flew into LA and picked up a number of front chassis lower braces for some of us and we had it installed this morning at his mechanic's....ooooh momma..doesn't it look just smashing? :))

on the way back, i took the long scenic route through upper thomson to test it out...can now lean harder onto the chassis before it loses it...feels stiffer and there's more steering feedback...steering wheel's become more talkative...I LOVE IT!!!

have had to sacrifice the tranny scuff cover but i'll have to bear with that...

and...best thing is, cheappppppp! =)

it's been a while...

...since i've done the hang-out routine with the renault people...so i did had a very nice time last night chilling out @ uno and bishan dome with the monkey, peaches n cream, babysotong and wishstar...good food/drink and good company on a friday night...what more could one ask for? =))
