i have to admit that being an WRX owner (albeit a MY07 one), i was more than a little turned-off by the looks of the new one...my 1st reaction was that of utter disgust and pure shock at the blandness...it reminded me of a riced-up tepid korean econobox...
it still hasn't really grown on me, but at least the interior is a big jump in quality over the previous incarnations...similar to the tribeca and much more grown-up...
it'll work well for the WRC i believe...notice that all the winning cars in the past few years have all been hatches??? the shortened tail saves on weight and having the wheels on each corner helps in weight distribution...wonder what petter solberg thinks of it?
check out the STI version testing on the nordscheleife...am waiting with bated breath for the tokyo auto salon in october to see it for real...am hoping that they can make it more outstanding than the normal WRX...
