went off for a quick fishing trip with a bunch of my friends to rompin, malaysia on thursday and friday...aiming for sailfish. unfortunately, the baitfish were in short supply. no bait schools = very little sailfish action.
we had to work hard, and all we had to show for it at the end of the trip were loads of bottom fish (good eating buggers though), five spanish mackerel upto 5 kg and a blacktip reef shark of about 12 kg...NUTS!
did have a lot of fun though, while it lasted...a good antidote to the mundaneness of everyday work life...
