my wants, but surely not my needs :))

...christmas is.

oh lord, help.....it's that blardy time of the year where orchard road is chock-a-block with frantic shoppers of all race and ages...the time of the year where chic aunties in their jimmy choos/manolos will deign to emerge from their Nassim/Dalvey enclaves to clash at the sale pit with the ah sohs and ah mmms from HDB heartland...pure carnage, i tell u!!! the time where little whine-y kids infest all the shopping centres, urging their parents to buy them this and that at the top of their irritatingly squeaky voices...URGH!!!!

every year, it sneaks up on me...that's because i don't really do much christmas shopping as it is...i HATE buying pressies cos i am a total goof at it...so i just make the usual arrangements with frens and relatives...YOU DUN NEED TO BUY FOR ME OK...I DUN NEED TO BUY FOR YOU...BO LAI LOR...SUAH... :))

of course i would still buy something for my darling wife lah...that is a foregone conclusion...but i'd very much rather she pick something out for herself and let me know where to present the credit card for payment...i am terrible at picking up hints about what she likes :S (yes, a typical neanderthal..blah blah...)

this year, my beloved wants to get a new cellphone...hers is quite crapped out indeed...she was eyeing the new fuschia pink moto razr v3 but oh man, it's actually quite obit....the colour simply overwhelms the simple sleek lines of the phone...once we saw it, we were definitely in 2 minds about it...then again, it's her choice lor...if it's that she wants, that she will get then...

me, i am simple.....i don't really want for anything in my life...yes i can hear the general populace going YEAH RIGHT! :P ... but really, it's true...i'd like the SE w800i walkman phone but i can do without...have a perfectly fine and working cellphone...yes i'd also like the new miata NC, but that's out of the question of course LOL... (both pix above...now dun go mistaking the phone for the car and vice versa eh? hahaha...)

i'd just like everyone i know to be healthy and happy this christmas (CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO DIE)...and for everyone to remember the actual meaning and significance of this occasion...it ain't just for exchanging pleasantries, pressies and partying the night away...

i know what it means....do you? :)
