Drunk dude tries to get gas at Nuclear Plant?
A highly intoxicated Chicago man faces several charges after driving up to a nuclear power plant in search of gasoline, police said.
It was the second time in two weeks that a drunken motorist mistakenly pulled up to a security checkpoint. The nuclear power plant, is located about 60 miles southwest of Chicago. In the earlier incident Oct. 18, Lloyd Kuykendall of Morris drove in and tried to pay a guard, thinking he was at an interstate toll plaza. The 38-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence.
Krista Lopykinski, a spokeswoman for Exelon, which owns the plant, said the two incidents were "unusual" but that the plant's security force handled them properly.
Drobrzawski failed a Breathalyzer test, Barry said, and was later charged with DUI and entering a controlled-access area.
