bridgestone RE11

...are slated to be the replacement for the already-pretty-damn-awesome RE01R! these babies are not in singapore yet but within the next few months or so...which puts them nicely in the time-frame for my next tyre change...

compared with the RE01R, they are supposed to

1. have better wet traction (a plus in singapore's tropical weather)
2. control temperature better within the compound
3. have better steering feel/feedback

lexi's existing AD07 shoes are quite nicely worn and probably will last another 5 to 8k km at most before performance drops off precipitously to horrendous levels, i reckon...

good timing, i must say...now will just have to watch the pricing to see how much they come in at...if they can maintain the pricing similar to the RE01R + - say 10 to 20 bucks, this would seriously be a very strong contender for my next change...

that is, if i don't choose to downgrade to a more mid-range tyre and drive less maniacally, of course...then that brings a lot of other choices into the picture...such as the goopdyear eagle assymetrical, bridgestone's own new mid-range wonder the RE011 and maybe the hankook RS2...ack...headache on the way...

another better look at the RE11 tread pattern below...
