over the weekend, seeing as how i had some time on my hands (actually, a lot of it), i found myself over at the nissan showroom at bukit timah getting my grubby hands on the 350Z coupe and roadster...
have been meaning to check the 350Z out for a while now and finally did it then... sweet sweet vehicles...going price for the coupe is now around 147k and the roadster about 15k more... so what does that additional 15k get you?? less metal (road chopped off), open-top motoring (which i like), brembo brakes deleted, crossmember bracing within cabin deleted (to make room for the top to fold down)...hmmm, seems like it's not that great a deal...what with paying more and the like...
the interior of the cars are quite well made and seem to be well-fitted...comes with a reverse camera, sat nav blah blah...very comfortable and huggy sportseats...really not too bad a car...and the coupe really does drive very well...willing lusty v6 engine with an output just shy of 300 bhp, rear-wheel drive...but the big caveat for me is the capacity of the engine, the lack of a rear bench and the very shallow boot (in which room is killed by the crossmember bracing)...
a somewhat compromised day to day car then...but a weekend track warrior par excellence... i wan one!!!! *drool* in monterrey blue please =) now to arrange that test drive...
