nikon has released an upgraded version of its entry level D40 DSLR, barely half a year since it was released...the new one's the D40X and crucially, it's now got a 10MP CCD sensor instead of the "puny" (relatively-speaking of course) 6.1MP sensor in the D40...
it also features lower base sensitivity (ISO100 instead of ISO200 previously) and faster continuous shooting (3fps vs 2.5fps...like i could tell)
so it's finally a straight fight between the D40X and the Canon EOS400D...about time!
and owing to the fact that i have some money coming in fairly soon, could look at going SLR pretty darned soon...unless i use it for maxine's exhaust upgrade...ah...decisions, decisions
