Old woman killed by runaway truck tire?
An elderly woman is dead after being hit by a runaway truck tire while taking a walk along a footpath in a New South Wales country town.
The 91-year-old woman was walking along a street in Werris Creek, south of Tamworth, on Tuesday when she was hit by a tire. The tire, believed to have fallen off a passing truck, rolled along the road before mounting the footpath and striking the woman in the back.
