journeys to come...

...just a bit of musing pertaining to the rest of the year to come, holiday/relaxation-wise that is...

• end may - a quick track 3 hour track session upto at pasir gudang with the miata sg crowd...should be less than 100 bucks for an exclusive 3 hours session with only cars from our gaggle...estimated about 30 people i guess...think i will have to get my coolant changed, camber-bolts and alignment done before i head up...should be good fun as it will be the first time that i am taking lexi out in anger on track (same goes for chuah and his "new" m3)...

• sometime in july i think - the recently boating trip seems to have brought out the renewed itch for piscatorial pursuits...audra seems to have a nice lobang for a serious fishing trip up to pulau aur/dayang and we shall pursue this to find out more...only thing is, the mooted plan is to leave friday night, get there saturday wee hours of the morning and then return sunday night...not exactly a whole lot of time available for fishing...say max a day and a half plus maybe night-fishing? we will need to find out more details and work out a plan with the operator and get together with sherine's boyz to discuss further...and we have to gear up accordingly...aiyoooo, i am all itchy already...

• end october/early november - plan is to do a hokkaido tour for 7 days with XKATS and extend in tokyo for say 6 additional nights to enjoy big guy's hospitality (thanks ya, bro!)...perhaps will head off to kyoto for 2 or 3 nights though...using it as a base to hit osaka/kobe as well (must do kyoto's bamboo forest!)...this will be the big one for the year i guess...not gonna be cheap though, but i think it will definitely be worth the while since i haven't been to japan in ages (since about 14 IIRC) and would love the chance to catch up with big guy and family...

i do however wish i could have the moolah/chance/time to drop into boracay with XKATS, but for this year i think it's only a pipedream...perhaps 2009 then...

EDIT - sorry, not very clear WRT japan...the 6 nights extension includes kyoto and other places as well, not 6 whole nights in tokyo...so dun worry, big guy..hahaha...
