...we went from toyako to hakodate...via a bear ranch, 2 volcanoes, an ice-cream factory and a lookout point over toyako..

1. oh i didn't know that...but i did find out eventually that the g8 summit was held at the windsor hotel which is a posh one set into a hillside overlooking lake toya...
