well well well...apparently, chinese actress GONG LI is now officially a singaporean citizen...anyway she's married to singapore tobacco businessman Oei Hoe Seong...truth be told, a little bird told me about this close to 6 months ago...and the news broke in the local newspapers about almost 3 months back, but now it's official as of yesterday (see the AFP report HERE). in doing so, she has given up her chinese citizenship.
and immediately the news has stirred up a major furore with many chinese citizens criticising her but yet many defending her decision...
