The Best?

A Japanese bluefish tuna brings over $100,000 (USD) at a fish auction in Tokyo. This 282 pound monster of a fish brought the highest price paid for that type of fish since 2001. The all time record for a bluefish tuna stands at about $200,000. Tokyo's Tsukiji market holds daily auctions, the new year event brings about the highest bidders. This year's prize fish was shared by two different owners; a Hong Kong sushi bar owner and his competitor pooled their money to share the prize fish. Typical tuna runs at a little over $20 per pound, this prize fish topped out at over $350. A small price to pay for what gourmets consider to "Be the Best".
