a time for reflection and reaffirmation

good friday...what does it mean to you?

for me, it commemorates the sacrifice of God oh so many years ago when He sent His Son to us as a mortal man to be a sacrificial lamb unto sin so that mankind could be saved...it is for me a time to remember the ultimate act of love, a time to render unto Him all glory and a time to reaffirm my relationship with Him...

in recent times, i have not been particularly faithful with Him...it's no excuse but the trevails of work have left me rather exhausted on weekends and having so many other activities on the weekend meant that most sunday mornings, i wake up quite spent and would thereby contemplate skipping church altogether to sleep in. probably out of 10 weekends, i'd miss about 3 or 4...

i wouldn't say that i am wracked with guilt over it but i do recognise the fact that i have wavered in my commitment...my cell leader said before...if He could sacrifice His divinity and His body for you, on your part, can it be harder to sacrifice a sunday morning to him which is a mere small portion of your time per week...

haizzzzzzz....i need to improve on my connection to Him...things must change... :S

connection with Him is always there but in times of despair, we realise our limitations n seek him more. to think we do not need God is stupidity, but the difficulty is in surrendering to him even during happy times...
