singaporeans went, and are still going, to the polls today...upto 8pm...
the answer is already a foregone conclusion with the lightning party being the dominant force that it is in singapore politics...however, it's a key point (time-wise) in the short(-ish) reign of the dragon son...he's asked the singapore voters for a strong mandate...he's brought in 24 new faces...all qualified people which will be the mainstay of the gahment, to lead singapore over the next dozen some years...
well, any result between say middling 60s to 70 percent of the vote would signify a kickass result for him, accordingly to many political watchers...anything less than 62 to 63 percent would be a poor result...
of interest is a significant challenge to the ruling lightning party in aljunied...where the hammer party has assembled a strong "A" team to challenge the incumbents...and from ground hearsay, it sure looks like it's gonna be a really close one there...and of course there's the opposition stronghold of PP where this year it seems good ole man CST might just be toppled (finally) by the lightning challenger STYP...we shall see...
*** ADDED AT 7.50PM***
anyways, it's about 10 minutes to the end of polling...results should trickle in by midnight, i figger...
time will tell... ;)
