- waking up @ the unearthly time of 4am to shower and change up...leaving the house @ 4.45 am to drive to tanamera to leave the car @ ray's place and getting to the airport @ 5.45am...COMPLETELY and UTTERLY stoned...
- 1st look at the budget terminal...surprisingly decent and at that early time, already fairly crowded...was quite pleasantly surprised at the stuff available within the waiting area...killiney kopitiam, 7-11, bookshop, several makan places and yes, there was still DFS! not too shabby, to be honest...
- arriving in phuket totally concussed
- PHULIN (hotel) was about 85% as nice as the pictures and really turned out to be rather great value for the money...
- the heat in phuket was intense...supposedly low season was rainy season....what rain??? frickin' scorching heat...
- cheap japanese eats...FUJI restaurant @ the very new CENTRAL FESTIVAL MALL offers solid jap food for about 50 to 60% of the price in singapore (comparatively speaking)...no prizes for guessing what we binged on...hahaha...
- some really fatass BBQ'd prawns...have never seen them that big before...holy chromoly crapshit! :O
- beautiful beach @ karon (where we stayed)...big waves...so big that them blardy waves took my new specs :(( fortunately i brought 2 pairs but still.....sigh...such a waste... =S
pictures hopefully will be up in the next couple of days...actually didn't have that much of a mood to take photos cos it was just so damned hot...will have to take some from the others...
